BRIEF: Create a program guide to engage the general public and increase membership.
GOALS: Upon consulting the Athenaeum's Membership Manager, Emily Schuman, and Polly Thayer Starr Fellow/Curator in American Art, Lauren Graves, we agreed that prior tour system lacked visual guidance, general knowledge amongst visitors, and interaction between guests and the library space.
With a print map prototype, I identified key touchpoints based on both new visitor and long-time member data to create an effective introductory tour map/information brochure. By visualizing the tour experience and creating a simple, clean layout, my proposed structure for docent-led tours led to a 5% increase in membership sign ups post-tour.
